The past is but a chain around ones neck dragging them down. Suffocating you in a cacophony of promises and lies and sincere I love yous of what ifs and maybes. The past is only a second old and it has already stripped me of my desires. I’m jettisoning it and by extension you or will be after the requiem. Everything needs a requiem.

one of these days, as you know, ill be floating...er, flying...cross seas. if you get to go get out first, ill live vicariously through you. you better take pictures, though. im a visual girl. not much time for expounding on my imagination. sad. but true.

did you travel all on your lonesome?
i guess that might be a really good way to get things seen and done. cant say i trust myself alone in foreign cities, though. i did manage to get from france to florence on my own, but it was a struggle. i wont lie. it was a good time though.

the french are not helpful in the airport/train undergrounds, btw.

so i have two things to say.

Mercats rock. My cat who never watched the TV or played with her reflection in the mirror would become transfixed the moment mercats appeard on tv. She would just sit and watch them.

I was with friends. One of them new this guy out there who loaned us his flat for a week. It was in the old town. Stones throw from Churches and Cathedrals. Such a pretty area of the city.

Persnally I am one for travelling with at least one other person so that i can share my adventures with someone. And I'm not confident on my own.

The Big Gun is cool, you can't tell from the pic but it was on top of this huge hill with a fort and looked out over the sea ready in days of old to blow enemy ships out of the water.

And the monkeys are not hurling poo. Those are good civlized monkeys. Like all zoos there was a sign saying not to feed the animals and like all zoos people were feeding the animals, in this case the monkeys. So they had their hands raised tying to catch peanuts.

Oh and I so want to see Florence. How long ago were you there?
