Show you Egypt, show you Egypt, where every morning the river ran, past the slums and high rise hotels and statues of the Man? If you lay your ear against that ground, believe you me, you'll get more an earful of sound.

Of course you may go, and what Egypt'll show is that your thoughts are as much as drops of water to the Nile.

Perhaps, perhaps, but that is the point, everything began on the Nile, The river stills runs past everything. All the slums and all the hotels, still subject to her rage and calm, and we still sit on its banks trying to understand how to anger or balm. She rules us still, history tracing back to a people growing food on the banks, and it all leads back to her, our tvs, planes, and tanks.

She rules us still, and I wish to go to her, put ear to ground, and hear her purr.

It'd be an amazing trip, to say the least. There's just... so much in Egypt, between its natural wonders, its history, the massive, ancient cities... I hope you find yourself there, one day!
