Hey everyone. For those of you who do not know me, I am Silverlocke980, a writer on fanfiction.net and elsewhere, and someone who dearly loves playing video games. I have been replaying FF7 lately, and discovered something: That, while playing it, I've been making up a plot analysis up in my head. I've been analyzing it without even knowing it! By and large, good work with this. Well thought-out, in depth, and interesting... I can't say I agree with everything you've pointed out (your brief dismissal of Tifa as lacking depth, or a second side comes to mind, but... *shrug*)

What I really did like was the comparison of Junon/Midgar to Icicle Village/Cosmo Canyon. It's been ages since I've played, but... you really have a point with what you said in regards to the respectful use of nature, as opposed to its exploitation.

You might want to put some of this under various LJ-cuts, as it's so long, if you do decide to post this somewhere other than on your personal journal. A good start, Silv. *tips hat*

First off- cool new avatar. Very interesting.
About Tifa- it's actually less that she lacks depth (she doesn't), but more that she is mostly immune to Two Sides. Every other character has tons of Two Sides and related problems, but she seems to lack it! That's important later, though, as you'll see in about two weeks when I post the second part, "Cloud Strife: A Study In Madness".
See you then!

P.S. Make sure you tell your friends about this, especially those that love FF7... I want a bunch of people to read this.

Silv!

I'll do what I can do... but if you DO want people to read this, check out the various LJ-based communities.

Whether ff7, or maybe one of the more elite communities (blue_suits comes to mind) ... there will be LOTS of people (more than I can point you towards, for sure) who are interested in it - use the search function, and you'll find them. Join up, post, be sure to interact on others' posts, and see the comments roll in...

It's one of the best ways to get to know others with similar interests, and probably get a decent amount of feedback along the way....

In the meanwhile, best of luck with Part II.
