Completely agreed. I think it has a lot of potential to really work well.

Coyboy Bebop was pretty obviously created with American audiences in mind as the target, and doesn't have too extreme of the sparkle-impossibly-high-end-complex-technology (or impossible character actions) factor. It should translate well to an American live action. --It's a space cowboy/western show fer gawds sakes. Did anybody else watch Firefly/Serenity? Same basic genre/feel.
