I feel old. my youngest niece just turned 14 the other day. also, I found her fanfiction.net account... and she's already writing slashfics. what does it say about my family that my reaction to that was to read them and be impressed at how well she wrote them rather than go WTF over the fact she's already writing slash (especially when her earliest

That's kinda cute and sad about your niece. Cute because new blood in fandom that isn't doing mary sue BS is awesome, especially in one of that age, and sad because "omg she's growing up, I'm to young to be old!"

well, considering how much older than me my older brother is I knew this moment was coming sooner rather than later. it doesn't help that I'm all achy from being off my pain management meds, too. that alone makes me feel kind of old.

and now all I need to do is wait until April when my oldest niece will be old enough we can sit down and have some kahlua together... and then I can see how I cope with that...

at least I know my nieces don't think I'm some crazy old fangirl aunt...
