I'm a paranoid person, I've never been afraid to admit it.

I don't like being added randomly by new people... If you want to read my lj, why don't you try to get in touch with me via some other form of communication that I might be able to better understand who you are, whether I know you, and whether I feel that there's any reason for you to be adding me ( Read more... )

I wouldn't be very surprised if bloodangel is actually fireroseflame. The account was just made today and seems to have a very similar list if not the same as the one fireroseflame had. I bet she took people off her list to prove her "innocence" and then in a very "devious" move, made a new account that you would not recogize and added people back to that.

Or I could be more paranoid than you. All I know is that I have for some reason been added to this list and there are no entries in it yet.

To be honest... I have felt the same way about bloodangel05 I was thinking about the fact that it could be fireroseflame keeping our names on her list... Perhaps I should start to go as "friends only" to make sure this doesn't continue any longer... I don't believe it is coincidence that all of the people bloodangel05's friends list are the same as the ones that were on fireroseflame's list... It just seems too likely that fireroseflame did create that new livejournal(have you also noticed there is no information whatsoever about bloodangel05 in his/her livejournal profile along with having no entries in it and the account being made today? Just makes me believe that you and I are right even more...) Again I could just be as paranoid as you... **laughs** of course you could be paranoid right now about me commenting you **takes off cowboy hat heh** The name's Heather. I'm one of Katie's friends that are still stuck in Pendleton... Nice to meet you. Sorry if I scared you with this reply I posted since all of us have been having a few " ( ... )

Like I said in Heather's...

In all honesty... random people adding you to their LJ friends list is simply something that happens when you're LJ is public. (Don't forget, in public mode you are actually posting it on the internet for everybody to see). I'm actually quite surprised by the fact I seem to be the only person that has had several people randomly friend her... one person in particular, appeared to do it to every name they could find, simply so people would read their writings.

But yeah... I don't think you need to stress out about it... for one thing, at least them friended you lets you know that they exist... after all, they don't have to have you listed as a friend to read your LJ... so, really, don't stress out over it... if it really bothers you that bad, just make your LJ friends only... after all, I'd say it's a good bet this is one of those reasons the feature exists.

I agree with you. And I don't mind random people friending me personally. Although it is polite to either comment who you are or email the poster, it is not a requirement. However, I have been annoyed in the past when I emailed the vouyer asking who they were and they never replied. That really is rude.

All in all, I figure this person is just lonely and wants to have a connection to people they know or people who know those people and probably cannot make friends of their own. I know in the past I have gotten bored and looked over friends pages of my friends to just check on people or look for quizzes.

However, IMHO, no matter how you try to look at it, lying about who you are and sneakily adding people to your friends list is just plain creepy, but also ignorable.

As far as I am concerned it wasn't wrong of you to add people to your friends list, just unexpected.
