Wow. That entire blurb just makes me cringe. I'm not really fond of Jesse McCartney. Also, while I really like Shyamalan I'm not sure Airbender lends itself well to be the type of movie I'd expect from him. I can him making the movie really unique and quite enjoyable, but I could also see it going in a direction purests might have a problem with. It'll be interesting to see what kind of reviews it gets once it actually comes out.

*nods* One of the things that most people who commented on the article/blog complained about most was the cookie cutter, mutt-white casting of a series that is almost entirely Asian and/or Inuit (I think is the term for native arctic dwellers? Because that's basically what the Water Tribe are... I mean, live in igloos have darkish skin despite it.))

I had been too busy cringing at Jesse McCartney to really notice that at first, but you know... It's not like there aren't any good minority actors is it? Maybe?
