Considering that I grew up in southeastern Tennessee, peanuts were a staple food item as a kid. My favorite sandwich is grilled peanut butter with jelly, paper thin apple slices and sliced banana. I would just as easily munch on honey roasted or salted peanuts. Here, the State of Georgia is one of the largest producers of peanuts and pecans. As a kid, pecan pie was my favorite dessert.
