Wow. This has been my most eventful fall break yet. Life continues to amuse and suprise me...

Only at my church would you witness the following things:

- "A Whole New World" from Aladdin being played on the piano

- A teenager doing an interpretive dance that involves drawing on her face with a Sharpie

- Two young girls trying to do the macarena during one of the hymns

Why is it that when I see naked women in the locker room at the gym they're always middle-aged or old women and not hot girls my age???

I hate living in farm country. I also hate county fairs because when they're going on that's all they talk about on the news.

Last night at the station, the sports guy went into the control room to get some sort of sports feed on one of the monitors, and when he was flipping through the channels he came across some hardcore porn. The picture was scrambled, but it was definitely porn. It was the most amazing thing ever. :D

Went to the gym on my own for the first time this morning. It's an odd environment to me. Especially the locker room - where else do you see complete strangers naked? I was one of the few people in the gym who wasn't over 60. But that's fine with me. At least I don't feel like I have to compete with ridiculously tanned and muscular twenty- ( Read more... )

Tonight I went to Ruby Tuesday's and had dinner with Charles, my only (openly) gay friend here. I love him. I know him from church - he organized the gay pride service and such. He's really been a nice ally to have around this summer. We wanted to get together before I left, because we never get much time to talk at church. He wanted to know all ( Read more... )
