its because the cable is split one too many times through the house. Try resetting your modem (unplug it, wait 10 sec, plug it back in) That generally helped me, sometimes I had to do it a few times, and you will most likely have to do it AT LEAST once a month :D

oh and don't knock dr. minor yet. You will be enlightened by the time the semester is over.

I have no doubt about that, I was just stating that he has a very strict attendence policy.
