BCI is the abbreviation for brain-computer interface, which is basically a system that provides direct communication between a person's brain and a computer. Right now, it's mostly being looked at as a means for people with certain forms of paralysis to be able to function again by controlling neuroprosthetics by thought, for example a gripping arm so the person could feed himself or herself. BCI could also be used for things like virtual reality, and I believe that it will also become a major part of the future of the Internet.
Lepidoptera is the order of insects that includes butterflies and moths. I've always been interested in lepidopterans -- the prize specimens in my entomology collection were my butterflies and moths. Butterflies also have special personal meaning for me.
Ewww, that's disgusting! No, it's most definitely nothing like that. It's actually a whole lot more like this man's artificial sight or something you'd find in a cyberpunk RPG that enhances vision. There's also similar stuff, like people having chips implanted in their eyes to end blindness.
Someday I would like to have cybernetic eyes to enhance my vision and prevent it from becoming worse, but I would want them to look exactly like my current eyes.
Basically, it's a game in which two players have a headband on containing biosensors that read brain activity. A person's brainwaves send a ball forward, and the person scores goals that way. I'm not sure. I most definitely don't like all their songs. A number of them sound rather pedophilic and frightening (repeated references to "little girl" and suggestive phrases -- especially apparent in songs like "Behind the Wheel").
