Well... there's always disgusting grey poster putty... and that spell they use in Harry Potter "oculus reparo"...

I've been trying to get some grey poster putty, but it isn't sold anywhere within walking distance.

And I very much wish I had Harry Potter spells. That'd make life a lot easier. ;)

As a very temp solution (if you're going to replace them...) JB Weld epoxy. Just be careful when applying, as if you get it on the lens part of your glasses they'd be toast. In fact, I'm scared just suggesting it to you.

Which is more expensive, Mel, the frame or lenses? I'n my experience the lenses are by far the most costly. I think that a glue would be fine - as long as you can get it off again! So any water-based glue would be great since the opticians can wash it out once you get there.
