a muffin question ... mango yay or nay?

Hey ... been a bit swamped lately with stuff. Life has been hectic and I've been going to bed early. Plus, I'm seeing someone lately. It's a bit .. different than the last boy. We'll see how it goes. So, here I post again. The other day there was a sale on blueberries so I bought a lot and ended up making blueberry muffins. Saw this recipe on TVRead more... )

I love blueberry muffins, and anything with blueberries in it. Those look excellent.

I've never heard of mango muffins. I prefer my mango straight, as it were, just eating them fresh.

Looking at your recipe choices I'd go with the low sugar, whole wheat version, just because I tend to roll with the heathier options anymore.

Me, too. I prefer just mango. The mango cakes are usually added flavor enhancers. I don't really want that. I was thinking the low sugar, whole wheat version also. I'm thinking ginger may be too strong.

Either ginger or lime would be good with mango! Yes, the mango flavor does go away, that's why a stronger component with it lifts it. I had a lot of mango baked goods when I lived in florida.
