I'm actually thinking I might need to check out this homestruck... you're the second person who's told me about it, and the pictures I've seen make it look cute.
We're really enjoying Hataraku Maou-sama! The characters are all so freakin' adorable - especially Ashiya! His housewife spazzy act really makes me love him.
Oh god, why did this reply end up on this post? it makes me look like a dope, lol, responding to the wrong post (in my defense, I actually went to your journal page before replying.. I thought... to your tumblr post, since I wanted to refresh myself on your recent postings).
But anyway yeah wow, Homestuck. I super seriously love it. It's a little weird and slow at the beginning, but basically it's a story of kids (and eventually trolls) playing an immersive and potentially fatal all-in save-the-world (kind of?) game, and so it's told from the POV of various people playing the game as well as from the POV of a couple of the NPCs and even, at times, from the POV of the game's author itself. Very meta and smart and rich with gaming mythos and hilarious adorable characters. It even has actual cut scenes (aka Flash animations) and bits of playable content (Flash games) and lots of lovely game music!
Heh, it's okay. Responding to the wrong post would be very easy since my 'reply' links seem to be in the wrong spot from what you'd expect (should be below the post, right? Not above it). I haven't messed around enough with LJ layouts to figure out how to fix it.
We are totally watching Attack on Titan! (new episode today! Can't wait until Cody gets up and we can watch it!) That anime is very, very addicting and the music is AWESOME. We watched the first seven episodes all in one sitting and then were like "that's IT?" Since then we've been watching as the episodes come out.
We have a new episode of Hataraku Maou-sama to watch too, so yay! Anime viewing tonight!
I will check out Homestuck right now and see if it sticks. I can always use new fandom interests!
