Happy goddamn Lucia

Dec 13, 2006 08:08

Have about 30 min until I have to leave for "practising" being Lucia.

Unsurprisingly, this does not fill me with joy and celebration.

Happy Lucia, may you get plastered on Glögg and eat too many pepparkakor.

Uggh. :p

Do you have to wear a crown of candles? Because if you do, you could accidentally set someone who deserves it on fire :)

Happy Lucia. And maybe you can think of something else that fills you with 'joy and celebration'? ;)Positive thinking ftw :)

Yep, but they are electric candles, so no setting fire to things. :p

Think my mum experienced that tho while walking after a Lucia with real candles. The other girl's crown of candles had a little "accident" and set a few things on fire. :p

I'm sure I'll feel better afterwards, at least until I see the pictures. :p

If you have to do something, the best advice is usually to relax and try to enjoy it. ;)

Does that mean you didn't puke from an overdose of pepparkakor?

And no coughing out the (electric) candles either? :p

Fun to see how it was aaaall over the news this morning. Every damn channel had a Lucia festivity.

Have fun! but what is pepparkakor?

Thanks!

Pepparkakor are gingerbread cookies, slightly thinner and with slightly different spices than the English ones. (Highly scientific cookie tests have been conducted by joskination and myself.)

ooooooh, that sounds delish. I love gingerbread of all forms (lebkuchen, gingerbread, etc).

Shame you missed the gingerbread model of Castle Black, then. (That was in Glascon... I ate a whole tower for lunch. :p)
