Time for another one of silvertoaster's Movie Reviews...
Just got back from the 10:25 showing of Hot Fuzz. This movie seriously rocks. High-lariousness ensued. Boyfriend says it was a lot like Shaun of the Dead, so even though I can't corroborate that not having seen it myself, if you have seen that film, it should be a pretty good indicator of whether you would like this one.
1) Ridiculously silly gory violence
2) UltraEvil!Timothy Dalton (His last line of the movie almost made me piss myself)
3) Old woman getting kicked in the face
4) The most disgusting blunt force trauma death ever put on film
5) The without a doubt BEST shootout scene of all time
Nuff said?
To be honest, we had gone intending to see Blades of Glory, but we had already missed the last showing and let me just say... THANK [insert deity here]!!!! This movie was so funny, I can't imagine the other one (even with Will Ferrell and Jon Heder) could have been better.
