Have you read Evolving God by Barbara King? It was set reading for my "Origins of Religion and Spirituality in Pre-history" course. I don't know if I'd recommend it, because my prof didn't like the last half, but if you have read it, I'd be interested in your thoughts on its anthropology bits since I don't have background/prior interest in most of it.
