BELLATRIX DOESN'T KILL SIRIUS with the Avada Kedavra in the book!!! It just says she hits him with a ray of light or something, and he falls into the Ark. There's no spell involved!
In the movie instead, she hits him with the Avada Kevadra spell, then he falls into the Ark.
(I just came back from the theater and went to check in the book, hehehe)

Whee, finally saw the movie. Anyway, to me it looked like Sirius repelled the spell, and then sort of fell back into the veil. I mean, Harry did that in his duel with Voldie, so it is possible.
