Hi clio! :) I'm trying to avoid internet addiction, lately I had been spending way too much time on the computer and ignoring real life. :/ I'm cutting down on internet time for a while! Life's going pretty well, even though 99% of my time is spent in Uni/doing homework, and all that jazz. How are you doing? :)
Oh, you know, I'm getting along. Everything is actually pretty good right now, actually. I'm in a comfortable state of limbo right now, waiting for the big things to happen. Relaxing, watching the new TV shows I'm addicted to, and squeezing in homework when I can find the time ;)
I've had pretty much the same experience as you have, receiving cold shoulders from my fellow countrymen whom I've conversed with on-line, and getting lovely "How ya doin? Long time-no see!" messages from (like you put it) "international" on-line friends, and yes, in my case that's mostly RQ folk as well. I think that's because RQ was a very special environment while it lasted, I always look back on it with great fondness. :)
A bunch of internet providers like Hotmail have decided to block LJ, probably because of how many automated e-mails it sends out. They're apparently trying to fix it. link
