Oh man, don't read Wuthering Heights unless you can deal with the depressing likes of Thomas Hardy and such. It's like a really annoyingly melodramatic soap opera set in an era that was all about talking like you'd swallowed a dictionary.

Sorry; as random as it may seem, I stumbled across your journal while looking to see how many people and communities like The Secret of Moonacre. :) There's not many of us, you know!

Urgh I just spent a whole term studying WH! Not as bad as Enduring Love (I hate Ian McEwan with a passion) but srs it is ridiculously melodramatic.

Ahh The Secret of Moonacre! I love the book so much! I never got to see the film in the cinema, but I watched it on the interweb and from my pc screen it seemed pretty good :D I love your icon! I can't find any Moonacre icons anywhere.

Think yourself lucky - I had to study Wuthering Heights twice at school, and the first time round I was only in Year 6. :(

I've actually only ever seen the movie, though I'd certainly like to get my hands on the book. I bought it on DVD from Wilkinsons recently on a whim and I absolutely adored it. :) That icon is one I found over at one of the communities that also came up on the search, but ironically, I've just made a batch of ten of my own. You can find them here, if you're interested!
