What Motivates/Inspires You?

I was thinking about inspiration and motivation today. Two totally different things, but both are important in spades to a person's life.

My inspiration for writing comes from everything around me: environment, people I see, news. I take a little piece and let my imagination run wild. The result is the stuff I write.

My motivation is complex.

I get on a writing jag when I have a new LARP character that just speaks to me. Granted, these are often the same kinds of characters, but I suppose that's relatively unimportant. I don't have much in my real life that's inspirational anymore. Being a grownup has smothered much of my childhood creativity.
