[A Decepticon warship-cruiser slowly drifts through space. The residents are restless...]

Cryos: *pitches a box of charts in a rage* AURGH! *slams fists on table* This aggravates me to no end!

Snowdrift: [turns to Cryos] *"rolls" optics* Geez, chill out; it's not like you have to plan and drive this clunker... *huffs* Piece of scrap ship; slow as a dead turbofox, and it's only got 2 auxiliary turrets--the Pit do they expect to do if we encounter any speedier clippers? The 4 main ion cannons won't help us then, *mutters incoherently*... Glacies, how you holding up?

Glacies: [sighs from her seat across from Drifty] *softly* Watching, watching, watching screens, watching watching watch watch watching, *twitches* watching...Oo, blip.

Snowdrift: Blip? What blip? [runs over to look] Oh, that blip. *to Cryos* Hey Capt!

Cryos: [still upset about her work’s lack of progress]*snarls* What?

Snowdrift: We got company.

Cryos: [curious now] *?* Excuse me?

Snowdrift: We got company, take a look.

[Cryos pries herself away from her charts + ( ... )

...That's what that was.

[after a moment of contemplation and setting his mind to the persona that he allows others to see on a daily basis, he turns on the vid-com screen with a hearty smile]

Why, hello ladies~. How may I be of service to you fine femmes today?

Ooh, he's happy. pyrospectacle February 10 2009, 04:06:58 UTC
Cryos: [this is so fake] Well, hi there! My my, I wasn’t aware that we had company-

Snowdrift: [really fake] Such handsome company!

Glacies: [also really fake] Really handsome company!

Cryos: [seriously fake] Like I said! Anyway, hi again, it’s an absolute pleasure to meet you, good sir! *coyly* And just what might your designation be, sweetie?

[leave it to someone who's a professional at being fake to recognize when someone else is being even more fake; he ignores it and continues on with his persona with ease; he chuckles and preforms the robot version of a blush daintily]

Ladies, ladies. Can only handle so much... [he waves away the compliments and looks back up with no sign of the obviously feigned fluster; he's baiting them in the game of flirtation]

My designation is Quickstrike. And each of yours, ladies?

And the characters begin to shine through...I think. pyrospectacle February 18 2009, 08:23:24 UTC
Cryos: [puts on a wide predatory smile + continues speaking in an almost purring voice--sultry, rough and deeper than usual, drenched with suppressed desire. Desire for murder.] Oh...but you see, I have so very many...plans for him...

Snowdrift: [who can feel the impending danger in palpable waves + tries to explain, almost frantically] You know what? You're right--we NEED you; one, at this point, we can't track for slag, and you can. Two, Feathers is on a highly guarded Autobot ship, and our own ship sucks at that kind of combat--we're outnumbered, outgunned, and out of random others to threaten--and three, you're great at what you do, and you're not known for turning down a job, and you were our best hope, so we went the nice way out, and decided to pay like crazy for help. Besides, we had to get rid of the swag anyway--we can't use it, and that scrap's heavy. And most importantly...Capt really, really, REALLY wants this mech; see, she doesn't take reje--*hastily + louder* I mean, she prefers to get what she wants...all the time. ( ... )

Mmmm.... rambling. My favorite pasttime..... silvrquikstrike February 19 2009, 06:07:14 UTC
Compliments will get you everywhere... [hear: "compliments will get you nowhere, but I like them anyway; now what's the real point?"]

Well, since I got a nice backstory--which, by the way, most bots won't give until their gyros are twisted out of alignment--for my effort, and entertainment I suppose... I might as well be so kind as to accept the "bribe" and play ball.

Same here, but unlike Glacies, I'm not clinically insane. pyrospectacle February 19 2009, 06:30:33 UTC
Snowdrift: [still keeping up the charm] Aww...c'mon, won't you help out a few pretty femmes? Just this once? How could such a damn-good-looking mech and incredibly talented bounty hunter like yourself, a top predator of your species, turn away an opportunity like this? It's just one favor, one job...pleeeeaaase? [makes w/ the 'puppy eyes', which she is surprisingly good at...must be her nature talking?]

[Inwardly, Snowdrift knows what will happen if Cryos doesn't get what she wants. It'll be the same thing that happened to all the others: Cryos will make sure whoever denied her will suffer. Snowdrift has every mention of her stored with her--the news + pics are NOT safe for the general and/or fully-grown public, much less anyone else. Drifty's really hoping 'Strike will take the deal--she doesn't need to remember another victim, and she definitely doesn't need Glacies to go even further off the edge.]

...I haven't had an evaluation in a while so... it's a possibility? silvrquikstrike February 19 2009, 06:39:07 UTC
['Strike doesn't think he'd have a problem taking on the three of them--specially on "home"-turf--but he's also already technically accepted the job.]

[deadpan:] I said yes.

Snowdrift: *helpless groan; good thing Cryos is absorbed in her work + not listening* Please tell me you're doing what I think you're doing--I was skinned before, and I'd rather not be skinned again, especially now that I'm getting closer to being me again. *drops voice* Still, good to know someone's got the bearings to set their own pace--wouldn't believe how many murders Capt's got on her scorecard for that, but I like watching others skirt the line.

*still quietly* Quick thing: Capt won't murder you for now--she needs you; you're useful, and she's invested in you and your abilities. As soon as this job's over, though, she might. Her blaster punches through armor plating as if it were tin foil; her parasol/poison-dart-gun's been the violent, pain-filled death of many a victim. I'm sure you could take her, maybe even beat her one-on-one, but if she calls for us, we'll rip you apart. After this job is over, be ready to fight.

[His optics barely glance at her.] Interesting advice from the would-be enemy. [pause; he seems absorbed in the controls before him] But you're wasting your intake. I don't trust anyone.

[He types a few commands into the console and the ship begins to respond. Navigational coordinates input, the ship heads in that direction. Another set of commands set the speed at a high velocity; the final lock the ship in auto-pilot. He sits down and leans back heavily into the chair; his optics close and he seems highly relaxed, and close to an unintentional recharge.]

Snowdrift: Eh, so I'm nice. Whatever. [looks around; Cryos is buried in plans + frantically scribbling torture methods on a board while half-smiling, while Glacies is quietly sweeping the deck + sterilizing a multitude of Cryos's 'tools of the trade'.] ... *throws arms out* I live with crazy people. *walks off to her bunk* G'night. *to Cryos* Capt, I'm on break. *whispers to Quickstrike* Recharge with an optic open. Glacies recharge-walks, and Capt likes to practice her firearms proficiency by shooting at anything she sets optics on. [reads the screen, but doesn’t comment] ...

Fitting. pyrospectacle March 6 2009, 05:24:24 UTC
((Hm. Interesting. I was actually trying to write out a "Crowning Moment of Awesome" involving Arson and Cryos, but 'Strike's request intrigues me. Anyway, I don't envy you, but try dealing with Arson and TraumaHawk--in my opinion, they're both going to be the death of me. TraumaHawk's own creator Dazzle gives me less grief...))

((Heh. 'Strike doesn't have to get his way, he just wanted to note that he actually would like to do it. And it amused me enough to allow it to be pointed out. Anyway, if you do in the future want/need to get rid of her I suggest him. But 'Strike needs to learn patience anyhow...))

Plot, plot, plot... pyrospectacle March 6 2009, 06:58:27 UTC
((By now, you might have realized that Cryos is most likely going to die. Someone that evil just has to go. I've been devising scenarios as to how, and while 'Strike does look good for this, mental general consensus is by the twist ending. And I'm sorry, but NO ONE gets to know what the twist ending is ;)

...However, I am trying to make it really cool and dramatic.))
