Wanted: Your Input

Sim_Scenes is coming towards the end of our second year as a Livejournal community.  With our anniversary on the horizon it's a good time to reflect on our status and to make changes in the way we do things.  As always, orikes13 and I are open to suggestions and comments.  We've noticed that challenge responses have fallen off and we'd like input into ( Read more... )

I don't think I participated this year, but I definitely did last year - I think I even did about 10 responses to the anniversary challenge, and the odd response before that. I haven't posted any responses this year because either I haven't had the time, or I haven't been inspired by the combination of the prompts. And when I have had a little inspiration, I decide I'll come back and think it out more in a day or two then completely forget about it until the next set of prompts is posted ( ... )

I really enjoy Sim Scenes too, but find myself falling in the same category as others with a lack of time to put a response together. The suggestion of a prompt every two weeks, or even monthly really appeals to me. I also like the idea of switching it up with different challenges every once in a while.

I definitely would like to see it continue. I'll even volunteer if you're looking for more maintainers. I don't have a crapload of free time, and my skills are rudimentary at best, but I have enough to partner with people to keep it going if necessary.

I'm not on here often, but I've posted a couple of times (literally I think its been twice). I love looking at what others post on here and really do hope this continues. We all have real life things that get in the way. The longer challenge plot also appeals to me as well.

I haven't done a Sim Scenes myself but I love watching this community and seeing what others have done. This community actually inspired me to do the wordless interlude in my story. I would like to see more discussions and tips. Genlisae had a good idea with the tutorial request thread, and I also would like to see just an open "share your tips and discoveries" thread. I also think changing up the challenges and prompts would be a good idea.
