It's ok that you've used it. If you don't want to have to use it anymore you have to get the No-CD crack. I can send you a link to it when I get back to my room. (At work right now.)

You were gone while all the Securom drama was going on, weren't ya? Well, to avoid using it again, you need a no-cd crack for BV, which you can download here. If you want to get rid of it altogether, then go here and read the directions.

Ooh, now I just feel negligent about not saying something when you mentioned BV before... and even madame_ugly was there for that message. What happened to her dependable WORRY? *snicker* If she reads this, I'm getting my ass kicked. Yeah, we worried about SecurRom a LOT, but some people have no problems with it. I think it depends on your computer. You'll probably be fine.

If you haven't had problems, you might be fine.

During my major secur-rom worrying, I polled the masses (in a round about fashion) and there were plenty out there who just installed the infested ep's and nothing bad ever happened (laridian and iceraptoress among them).

From what I read on that MATY thread, removing it is a big ole pain in the butt (I couldn't figure it out to save my dumb self--but you're smart, you can figure it out).

if its any consolation, I installed bv and free time without knowing anything about securom whatsoever and I have had no problems with my game or computer since I have been using them. I am running the game on a windows xp partition of my macbook.
maybe (hopefully) it won't be an issue for you!
