Muse rocked Wembley :D

Pictures and vids here. Some of you will probably think this entry is completely over the top, you won't see what all the fuss is about. But I have a really big emotional connection with music. It's what I turn to when things go shit. It's what calms me down when I'm stressed. It's what gets me through the really tedious days. Particularly Muse ( Read more... )

It interesting how you say you have a huge emotional connection to music. I've just finished this book on music philosophy, and the reason you probably connect so well to MUSE isn't due to how 'good' you think they are, but as you say you picked them up at a time when you needed it. So, as far as music goes, MUSE is nothing to you but a distraction which has developed into a fond association, and obviously gone much further in your emotional development.

Plus the fact that musically they kick everyone else's arses. The very first time I listened to Origin of Symmetry I was completely blown away by how good it was.

Technically it must be about how good they aactually are, and the music, because it was the music and that alone that got me into them. If it hadn't been for the music then I wouldn't have got into Muse, emotional need or not.

Aaah but there has to be some deep, dark pyschology behind it all ;) To be fair, if what Michael said is true then it does make sense with a lot of my liking (obsessively) stuff like The Last Five Years if you look and when the liking developed, but that's a REALLY obvious one :P (This doesn't detract from the fact that it's one of the best musicals EVER, if not THE best... just makes it understandable why I really, really love it and keep finding connections to it...)

On another topic, sounds like an excellent night :D :D

There clearly has to be something psychological in it, but the fact is that it's the music that first grabs you. It was fantastic and no psychobabble is going to tell me that I don't like Muse's music!

Beautiful entry :) I went on the 17th and it was probably one of the best days of my life :) I really need to see them again soon. I really do...

I never made it into the golden cirle but i stood right outside it and had a perfect view. They sure know how to pull of one amazing gig:)It was actually out of this world.

Friending you btw;)

The gig I went to was the best ever so I'm assuming the one of the 17th would've been amazing too. And now I'm sad because I don't have another Muse gig to go to yet :(

I'll friend you back :)
