I went to see Avatar (3D) with tervicz and tolemur tonight at the IMAX theater at Pointe Orlando.

I haven't been this much of an emotional wreck after a film since... er... ever. Go see it.

Curious....Is it worth seeing if I never watched (or cared about) the TV show?

*double checks* ...Nope, my mistake.

The Last Airbender is an upcoming live action film directed by M. Night Shyamalan that is based on the animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. The film originally shared the title of the television series, but it was changed to The Last Airbender because the producers were worried it would be confused with the James Cameron film Avatar.

Wow...they were correct, but changed the title too late. I had thought that the James Cameron movie was based on Avatar: The Last Airbender all this time! I'm gonna go hit myself in the head with a hammer now :P

Are you implying that Avatar is more emotionally moving than The Lion King!?

Wait... "More emotionally moving than Super Troopers"? Apples and Oranges, my friend.

I was also very moved by the movie. I saw it with Pooka at the Waterford Lakes Regal, also in IMAX and 3D! The scenery and music were beautiful and the plot, while predictable, was captivating.

It honestly didn't feel like it was as long as it was, but it left me wanting more. Not so much like a desire for them to make some godawful trilogy like Hollywood is apt to do these days, but it was an inspirational world that drew me in. Much like the Star Wars, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings worlds that came before it.
