I got "banned" from Furnet! (oh noes)

So here I am... just going through my normal day at work, when I scroll by the virtual desktop containing my various Internet Relay Chat (IRC) sessions, and lo and behold:

[furnet] *** You are banned from FurNet (You have pushed the limits on reasonable behaviour and you are nolonger welcome on furnet)
-:- Closing Link

Whatwhatwhaaaat?! I didn't realize that idling for 5 hours could be defined as "pushing the limits on reasonable behaviour", so I fired up a local IRC client instead of the one on the shell that I normally use (to get around the ban), and entered #Furnet to ask "what gives?"

It turns out that in a brief conversation that I had in a channel, some 17 hours prior, I mentioned that I thought that the Furnet Administration is fascist. It was an off-handed, passing, indirect comment and was a reaction to just having witnessed someone being banned from the network for a stupid reason. I suppose that someone informed the network admins about my criticism, they didn't take kindly to it, and permanently banned me from the entire network (not just the channel) in order to ... uh ... prove me right? Way to go, guys!

Oddly enough, by doing so, they broke several rules in their own Code of Conduct for IrcOps. I suppose that tyrannical fascists, who can't take criticism, break any rules they feel like in order to quell expression of opinions that are contrary to theirs.

Really, that type of people, of whom the admins of Furnet are an example, should never be in charge of anything because they can't handle upholding the idea behind the basic human right of "freedom of speech". Yes, I know that it is not an infringement on freedom of speech, but it is contrary to the idea behind freedom of speech or, at the very least, the idea behind the old addage: "sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me". Yes, I know that it's their playground and can be as arbitrary as they want on it, but would you want to have anyone who is that petty be in charge of anything?!

AnthroChat is certainly a viable alternative. Yeah, shameless plug and all that, but I mention it because I have detailed knowledge about how its opers are very strictly not allowed to behave that way. If you know of any other networks that have a strict, freedom-of-speech-based oper policy, like AnthroChat, let me know, and I'll include them here.

Here's the conversation that got me banned
Here's the part where they told me what I did wrong

Now, you might say that I'm a bit arrogant about my own behavior being righteous, and you're probably correct to some extent. It just really bugs me when someone receives over-reactive administrative action taken against them for merely typing words, so if I see it, I pretty much can't help but make comments about it. If people's ideas/actions were never challenged, progression of personal growth would slow to a near halt, so yeah... I challenge people's ideas, but never silence or prevent them (as they have done to me).

Friends don't let friends do Furnet.

Edit:
So, I rolled out of bed this morning and noticed that I had been banned (again). This time, Yappy (Sniffer) and scar were collateral damage (they've also been banned) because they were on similar IP space. Oddly enough, guess who fired up yet another unbanned IP and reconnected! That's right! It's meeee! I really do have an almost unlimited supply of them.

(Yes, I know I said that you should convince all of your friends to leave Furnet, yet I've been going through this trouble to keep getting back on, but evading overzealous and completely unfair bans in order to just sit idle and wait for the next is kinda fun)
