I've been AWOL from the internets for a while; I didn't bring my laptop to Phoenix with me because it's heavy and a pain to travel with. Anyway, Christmas was good, if a little weird, since I was staying with my parents in a hotel. My brother is the only family we have there now, and he just has a small one-bedroom apartment. Didn't feel very ( Read more... )

Haha...I've only played both a couple times...My hubby is really good at Magic. But I have tried and just can't get into the card-strategy games (I did the pokemon thing 15 years ago for like 5 minutes...) DnD is fun but is quite the investment of time and energy! His friends used to have "Magic Mondays" at my house. Anyway, we are having a nerdy new years at my house...Magic, Video games (we have WiiU and PS4, presently in use), anime, etc. and WAYYY too much booze. LOL.

Sounds like we spend our holidays is a similar fashion! XD

I hope you have a happy and safe new year!! Happy Holidays!

I've only played DnD a few times too; it's a little boring and I don't like all the math. I'd never played a card strategy game before, and I'm a little surprised that I like it - I bought my deck solely based on the fact that the window-card was a cat (demon). But I totally trounced everyone, and I do like games that I can win =P

Sounds like a fun new year!

That's the opposite of me! I find it weird to type things right into the computer. I can, but ya.. Just feels weird. I use my own form of shorthand to mark where I need to relook at things that I've written down. But mostly just write it all down first to get that brain dump onto paper.

Anywho~ Welcome back!! (^_^)

I do the brain-dump too - but on the computer, so that I can rearrange and rewrite as I go. It's like a jigsaw puzzle - if it's on paper, all I see is a jumble of puzzle pieces. On the screen, I can sort into edges and filler, by pattern, put together smaller regions until I finally see the whole picture =)

Wow, see that just seems time consuming to me. I'm used to the jumbled mess of a puzzle as you call it. Honestly, I only do really minor editing and if I'm not sure of where I want that puzzle piece, I'll but it into a huge bracket and mark it that way. Or I'll just leave a line and scribble stuff underneath, still continuing on.

Whatever works best for you! (And for me, lol~)
