This is beautiful. It's so true too. Idol changed my life and I'll probably include that in a post too. It made me realize that I didn't have to settle for the life my ex was pushing on me, that living a little is possible if you're willing to step out of your comfort zone a bit. I met incredible people, including my boyfriend who has had the most dramatic impact on my life. I never would have thought I'd have the courage to move 2,000 miles away like I did...but reading the stories of others, getting feedback on my writing and advice on life, it all helped me see that I could control my own destiny and that I could do whatever I wanted.

Idol made me want to live life instead of merely watch others live it. After all...I needed more stories to tell the next season if anything :P

But it's one of those things you don't understand until you've lived it...and you have to live it. Idol is only what you make of it. You get what you put into it.

It's very true. And thanks so much for commenting! I wasn't sure anyone else could "feel" this entry. It has grammatical errors, etc.

And yes, I thought about mentioning you and Java by name in here but I wasn't sure if you would want that. You have your own story to tell:)

There's something about actually writing (not just thinking) a dream over and over that makes you get out and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT for a change. Writing is powerful.

Writing is very powerful. Considering I was not much of a writer before I joined, I had no idea what it would do for me.

And I don't mind people sharing our story. I love our story. It's something I am so very proud of :)

I thought about saving it but it's more about..signing UP for Idol and since Gary told us to beat the bushes..there you go.

Hopefully I can come up with some good stuff for actual entries. We'll see.

I may sign up again. I'm thinking about it. It was a nice break from school and at times a good stress reliever.
