"Running as Fast as I Can"

(NOTE: Almost my entire entry that follows is recorded here, in a voice post. I am long-winded, so the voice post does lack the last few sentences, which are available in written form at the end of my entry.)

I think you are doing a wonderful thing. And not only do I think it will lead to you being able to help your family financially, I think you are also being a great role model to your children. You're showing them that it's never too late to make changes and start something new, you're showing them how to work hard to improve their circumstances, you're showing them that they have a mother who is willing to make huge sacrifices in order to give them a better life.

Maybe you're not a "hero", but I do think what you are doing is admirable. Just because others have more difficult situations does not mean that you are not facing challenges--because you certainly are.

All I can say is, "Wow!" This was a great story, and I'm very impressed by your strength of will. Congratulations on all you've accomplished, and on the degree to come!

I'm just not sure why I wasn't stronger back when it would have been "easier", LOL. I wonder why I felt I needed to drop out of college because I was having a baby. College with one baby sure would have been easier than college with 3 kids!

But I guess we live and learn!

Thanks for your kind words!

Yes, live and learn, or said another way, "You were younger then." *grin* Myself, I never got that elusive piece of paper. Ah well...

Never say never. But you know, I don't think EVERYONE NEEDS a college degree. It's just something I will need if I want to work in my chosen field.

We all learn so much from living that can never be reproduced in a flat textbook.

In retrospect, we do think how different things might have been...
Yet, I believe everything happens for a reason and we would not be who we are today, otherwise.
You certainly are not weak by any means and your life's experience has given you much strength. Admirable! Way to go!

Learning is also enjoyable. It's balancing all my responsibilities that is difficult but hopefully I can keep "all the plates in the air."

Thanks for the good wishes. I need all the luck I can get:)
