After I gave my daughter up for adoption at 18, my underlying driving force in life was to get married and start a family. I did get my degree and finish college, but it was 'secondary'. I didn't get married until I was 25 and we didn't start trying until about 2 years later! It was a long long wait but - like yours - with a happy ending. (I even have contact with my daughter and her son now!)

You wrote this in such a way that it was very easy to understand how you were feeling.
