The Straw That Stirs the Drink- an Idol Intersection with halfshellvenus

Can't you just listen for a minute?

I hate to think of the hurt forming in your eyes. I know it seems like I don't care about you, but I do.

Believe it or not, I didn't start this just to hurt you.

I didn't even like him when I first saw him. Honestly, he ( Read more... )

HalfShellVenus was a great partner to work with:)

It is fiction but I have seen these types of situations in the lives of others (and elements of it in my own experiences.) It is fiction but I'm glad to know you connected with it.

What a good example of how if communication in the marriage breaks down, a crisis usually happens. It sounds like in this story that the couple are going to make it work after all.
I really like that you ywo told the same story from each partner's view. Good job!

Yes, communication is vital and I've found that it really is easy to start making wrong assumptions about a spouse.

Thanks for all the feedback you give me!

This is a very strong character, and I hope she finds the purpose she's looking for.

It would be nice to know more of the story down the line...I just worried that if it were much longer we might lose our readers.

Lots of great entries out there to read this week!:)

Thanks for your kind words!

I really like the style of these two pieces. You told the story well. While I never cheated, I could relate to parts of this with my ex... And I could see where staying that way can lead to bad things.

Well done.

Okay, totally cried. It's so easy to let life (job, kids, whatever) push you apart. Wonderful job on both of your parts, but yours really got me right there.

Well I haven't cheated and some of the other details are not my personal experience but I admit, some of this was drawn from my own emotions and feelings.

Marriage through the years can be...it's very easy to get off track, let's put it that way.

::hugs:: It's easy to get pushed apart but there is also (often) a way back together if people are willing to work at it. It takes time to get apart so getting back close takes a lot of time too.

::hugs::
