Well, this was a surprise. The director had a sudden family emergency, so everyone got to go home earilier. which of course means that i have to pick up Molly sooner... which means that i get home sooner than planned, which means that Simon won't be home for another four hours

What a surprise! You're home early *kisses John full on the lips, with just a little tonuge, and then narrows her eyes at him playfully* and you've been smoking, *turns to Molly* and you've brought my favorite girl home with you! How about a hug, Miss Molly?

Oh and because you're home early, you've ruined my surprise. I just put double fudge brownies in the oven. *with a smile*

*furrows his brow* Hey! *then laughs at the irony of it* Molly said the same thing when I pecked her on the mouth.

*Molly holds out arms for Liz to hug* Momma Lil!

*John inhales deeply* Mmmm, double fudge brownies! My favorite! Well, one of them, anyway.

*laughs* We're going to spoil her, I think. Maybe we should set a good example and have lunch first?

*she laughs as they do* Yes smoking is ewwww. I tell Daddy he shouldn't, but he doesn't listen to me *she says with a huge smile and a teasing sparkle in her eye*

*takes Molly in her arms, giving her a big hug, beaming that she calls her "Momma"* And how's my beautiful Missy? You been good since last week? Good enough for brownies?

I think so. The brownies aren't quite finished yet, so we can have a nice lunch while they finish baking.

*Molly giggles*

What are you laughing at, Munchkin? *blows raspberries on her cheek, making her giggle more*

*looks over at Liz while picking on Molly* Lunch is good. You volunteering?

*Molly's upstairs, having a nap, and Liz has just grabbed a seat on the couch. She looks up at John, her eyes inviting and warm*

Molly sure likes sleeping in my bed, doesn't she? She fell asleep in it last weekend too.

*swallows thickly* Well, umm.... first, I guess, I could ask you about what your opinion is about, you know... getting married in the Autumn. I mean, if you want, we could just wait until Spring, like we originally planned, if you don't want to go down the aisle in front of everyone all pregnant and stuff....

John... we don't have to rush anything. I love being the way we are, we don't have any expectations to meet or anything. And I really hadn't thought about that actually... is this about the baby, love? About... me? How I was a couple days ago?

Yeah, sort of. I mean, I've been thinking about the whole baby business, and you're wanting a baby so bad... and don't get me wrong, I want one too, I really do, but what if the reason why you're not pregnant yet is because it just isn't our time yet? Maybe we should wait until after our Spring wedding. Unless you really want to get married sooner. I mean, you were so happy when I asked you about it, and then I thought about it again, and now I don't know what is the right path any more.... *rubs hands over his face*

Yes it is. Poirot is up to his little detecting again, but I can still never figure out the murders. I always think I've got it, but I'm always wrong.
