I'm trying to decide if I want to continue updating my legacy the way I have been, as full chapters or whatever, or if I want to just stop that and post little update type things on tumblr. Like a couple pictures here and there so people know what's going on. I know I don't want to stop playing them, I'm just not sure if I want to keep updating.

Everybody is wanting to post on their simblr only and it's making me sad because I don't have one! I feel like everyone is deserting livejournal for simblrs :(

Truth be told, I hate reading legacies on tumblr, lol, it's just that the format is so much easier for posting things. Like, I could do 5 short picture posts in a week as opposed to one giant update twice a month, which is appealing. I suppose I could just do shorter updates and share less of the family. Share the small every day stuff on tumblr and the big important stuff on lj. Gah! I don't know.

I, personally, love the LJ atomosphere & I never keep up with legacies that people do on tumblr. My dash is too full & is constantly updating so I just 'browse' pics is all that tumblr is for me. Not for in depth reading/caring about a legacy. I love how some do, have an LJ legacy then just post outtakes or random things between a main update on tumblr.

I will definitely not be leaving the LJ community <3

That's what I was doing with my tumblr. Posting random pics on tumblr and doing updates on LJ but now I'm thinking of doing the same thing but cutting out the big update part. I'm probably just tired from everything that's been going on from December until now, between work, my dad falling ill and now having a new puppy and once I start playing again I know I'll be taking so many pictures that I'll have an update ready I'm just being whiny at the moment. Like. "Booo, no one likes me and it's winter and I'm lazy." Story of my life really, lol.

But I agree, I do prefer the LJ community to tumblr. I like tumblr for random browsing but omg it can be a really childish atmosphere, especially in the sims comm.

I haven't really been around a whole lot since around October last year, real life has been crazy, not to mention loosing BOTH my computers -sigh.

Also, didn't know until recently that you were an 'older' simmer.... as in not a teen! That is nice to know <3 Us non-teens have to stick together! LOL!

I don't have a tumblr so its sad to have you consider going that route. I love LJ's community and adore your legacy, but I can understand the why.

I still prefer LJ to tumblr for legacies. There's maybe two or three legacies on tumblr I actually follow religiously, and that's only because I follow it on their blog page, and not my dashboard, you know? It is sooooo disjointed for regular story-like reading. I use simblr for spoilers, outtakes, and random crap like my self-sim or CC I'm in the process of making. I also like the daily connection to other members of the simming comm, but I wouldn't want to move there permanently.

Honestly, the recent bouts of drama and immaturity in simblr have been a bit of a turn off for me. I've been thinking about taking a break from it.

I just wanted to stop by and tell you how much I adore your legacy. There are only a handful of legacies that keep my attention past half a generation, and yours has me checking back all the time for new posts. No matter what way you decide to update, I'll still be reading :) I don't have a tumblr so I can't subscribe there, but I click over anyway!
