I decided to check out livejournals at random and yours was the one that popped up. I let out a small yet audible gasp when I saw your Hurley icon (whom I adore madly) but a more thunderous gasp followed when I saw you had listed Amy Hempel in your interests. Amy Hempel is my literary goddess, thus you have scored so many points with me. You are an awesome person, Simon, and I am pleased to have met your livejournal's acquaintence.

Thanks! She is great. I should confess that I only discovered her because of the chapter in Chuck Palahniuk's Stranger Than Fiction. I'm a fairly new fan.
