Went to see the mighty Rush last night (for the 2nd time this week), strutting their complex time signatures on the stage of the cattle shed known as the NEC on the outskirts of Birmingham. i had a similar experience at Carnival Of Souls at the weekend... i'm usually quite conscious of noise levels and if things are getting loud i'll stick some bog roll in me ears to protect them... i remember thinking it wasn't too loud during Xykogen's headline set, but then i went outside for cigarette my ears were well ringing!
