Twitter post by email tutorial
I created a brief tutorial for madam_minnie the other day about email posting Tweets via LoudTwitter using an lj-cut and decided I could do it better...with pictures. So, here it is. I'll leave this public for a while.
1) Set up email posting (here) if you haven't already, specifically, a PIN number.
2) On the same page, set up noreply@loudtwitter.com as an allowed sender.
3) Now go to LoudTwitter and sign in. If you don't already have an account, set one up.
4) On the main page (Home), under "Settings," choose "Email posting setup" right now.
5) Enter the email address where updates should be sent, generally LJ_name+PIN@post.livejournal.com (meaning mine would be simons_flower+PIN@post.livejournal.com). Then hit OK.
6) Go back to Home. Under "Shipment Preference," choose "email" and select "set."
7) Still on the main page (Home), under "Settings," choose "Change post time, formatting, etc."
8) Set up how your post will look.
A: Create a title;
B: Select the style of how your tweets will post;
C: Add formatting to your post based on these choices (and here is where you would add an LJ-cut if you think you'll be including a lot of tweets each day);
and D: Be sure you select "OK" or none of it will stick.
