Yes, I'm slowly feeling better, thanks. Ankle and foot are still swollen, and sore but I'm able to put more weight on it now. Actually, I guess it gives me some small amount of empathy towards what you feel like all the time...

The odd thing about pain, is that you can grow used to. It becomes a part of you, as does the anger and various other characteristically normal attributes.
The equally odd thing is teaching yourself to move past the pain and anger and not let everything be colored by it. That damned hope again.

It wasn't until I sprained my ankle last time that I appreciated the Hills Hoist I had back in Padbury. At least you could stand still to hang out the laundry and rotate the clothes line.

Same with English. Usually the accent is just a little too perfect, very few people speak with a totally upper-class toff accent these days, and regional English accents are quite tricky to get right if you don't live there!

Falling down stairs is not something you should be doing when you have a sprained ankle.
