Inspired by the answer someone on my flist who, if they read this will probably work out who they are, but whom I shall not name, gave to a question in a resent quiz meme

I still stand by my redefining - in cases where the question's terminology is wrong. Christians are not religious because religion is understood by the Christian church to mean carrying out deeds in an attempt to win God's favour

Shame Christians don't speak the same language as the rest of us, isn't it? You'd probably win more converts if you did!
religion
• noun 1 the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. 2 a particular system of faith and worship. 3 a pursuit or interest followed with devotion.
religious
• adjective 1 of, concerned with, or believing in a religion. 2 treated or regarded with care and devotion appropriate to worship.
• noun (pl. same) a person bound by monastic vows.
Compelling evidence against? When someone can explain how reproduction get going without the use of "given enough time" and "somehow" I might be more prepared to listen.
Hmm... Firstly, you aren't supposed to be able to get more than 10 or less than 0. Secondly, what about the other one? There are two quizes there. Third, I didn't say there was compelling scientific evidence, I merely postulated a "what if".
OK, so you didn't specifically say there was compelling evidence. I did spot that.
However, having come in from the other side - I was an atheist/Darwinist until my early 40s - I just wanted to specify that I'm not refusing to consider evidence against. In fact it was evidence that made me change sides.
Every time your score goes above ten you are supposed to set it back to 10!
And, given that Darwinism is as much a belief system as any other (not necessarily a religion though as it doesn't meet all the criteria), and you chose to reject it, I would say that you can answer yes to that one!

Quoted by copy & Paste from The Online Oxford English Dictionary.
Christianity is a religion, anyone who follows it is therefore religious.
