Connie and I went for a walk by the river the other day. This is the Thames we're talking about, for anyone who wonders what river... Anyway we had turned around and were heading back along the promenade towards the car when a cacophony of honking steadily grew from upriver, behind us

We have a lot of Canadian honkers around here and even though many people dislike them, my heart lifts whenever I see and hear them flying past.
This reminds me: I have various bits of bread scraps. I think I'll take them to the park and feed them to the geese today.
What a magical moment to have shared!

It was quite surreal, but definitely magical!

We get Canadian geese flying over our house a lot but never in those numbers. Wow, that must have been something to see.
