paris with a whole lot of korean people everywhere
okay, hi guys!
this is going to be my first fanaccount of a concert but, as you might know, i went to paris for the smtown. might make a post about the beautiful waste that is the city but this one is going to be about the concert. mostly.
first of all, i still want people to know that the whole thing wasn't lollipop and candy and the artists being in a heaven called paris. no. this isn't about the concert itself but everything that happened all around. because, let's face it, it was really badly organized. soundchecks were like a joke. the date was announced like 3 days before and that made so many people complain (because we're french, you know, we complain all the time) because it was on thursday and everyone was set to arrive on friday. well, people changed their plans but then, Live Nation changed the soundchecks' dates to the days of the concert. but they announced it the day before. then it started late and lasted only 25 minutes and with only a few artists. same goes for special goodies pack that weren't special at all but the same as everyone else.
i had a cat.1 place so i shouldn't care but well, it's a perfect example of how france works. everything started late except the concert. also, when it comes to fans behavior, everyone was being a creeper or a crazy thing screaming like an animal and being so proud of it. results? artists couldn't be on the vacation they seemed to want, they kept being surrounded especially homin and, from what i heard, they didn't say nice things about french fans. Jessica called us rude and, honestly? she was right. that's why i wanted to meet homin at first but changed my mind and chose to let them enjoy their stay and relax and rehearse. i swear i really wanted to see them so much but i didn't want to be one of these rude fans Jessica had been talking about to them. and, when i met Yoona and Taeyeon, Yoona threw us such a bothered glared, i think i froze and decided right at that moment that i would leave them all alone in paris. plus, their manager was always there and it was forbidden to all the artists to actually interact with fans. some still did, some didn't and well, i won't blame anyone, really. i just didn't want to have that bad image of homin, or them to have a bad image of me or whatever.

okay, i just wanted to say that to place a little the context and show how it really went because i hear a lot of people saying it was like the perfect stay in paris with perfect fans. there even are fanwars like sones were better or shawols only were crazy or else. not at all. believe me, i met elfs, sones, shawols and cassies, i actually hung out with shawols a lot because they were so nice but, there was no fanclub better than the other. there were crazy rude fans in every fanclub.
sorry for the bad intro, going on to the concert and the real fun now. but, i think detailing each song might be too hard for me, cause i don't remember everything, and also, maybe not so fun? i mean, if you've already seen a few performances of each artists, there's no real surprise. so i'll just talk about the artists, the ones i liked or not and why. and also the highlights of the concert. to me at least.

okay so as f(x) started the show, i'll go from them. they were really good! i'm usually not a huge f(x) fan but i found most of their performances really fun and i danced a lot to their songs. we already know that their songs are catchy but it's like they made them even catchier with their smiles and good attitude on stage. it really seemed that they were enjoying themselves a lot and that's what made it for me.
exception is gangsta boy. honestly, this song was really boring to me and, it seems, to a lot of people who sat back and didn't dance or anything. i still cheered for them because i actually cheered for all the groups (thought it'd be more fair and respectful to their work, i'm biased but not that much lol) but yeah, gangsta boy was not that amazing.
i was really surprised at how famous Amber is in france. i mean, she's really nice and cute. but, like, cute like a boy. people were cheering really loud each time she sang or did anything at all. i, in fact, liked Luna a little more. she was so cute and kept smiling through the whole concert. she has a very pretty voice i must say and has quite a presence, kinda different from the others. to me, Luna stands out more than the others. but Victoria is so so so beautiful. and she has the prettiest smile. i'm such a Victoria and Luna fangirl i'm sorry. i didn't like Krystal though. she's very pretty, of course but she has nothing that special to me and she kept behaving like she was owning the stage. yet like she didn't want to be here that much. that's just the impression i got, though, please, don't hate me for that. i was just a little disappointed by her but not really surprised.
but yeah, f(x) as a whole was very good.
let's move on to shinee, i'm sorry i won't have a lot to say about them because i'm not really a fan of them. but their performances were entertaining. i really liked replay, amigo and lucifer, they kept flying up the stage for lucifer and they had lasers and all. the effect was great and got a huge response from the fans.
i'm sorry i really don't have much to say. Key seemed to be the most popular out of them and i can see why i think. he was really cute and he was the only one who made a whole phrase in french during their ment. well, not a complicated one, most like Bonsoir, je m'appelle Key or something but still. we all know it was fanservice and they had to do it but it still made me happy and i really appreciated it. especially because not all of the artists even tried. but yeah, shinee did and Key tried even more and that was cute.
oh! i was really impressed by Onew's opera song. i think it was in italian, not sure, but really, he has such an impressive voice. he sang it very well and even though some people say it was boring, i liked it a lot. it was something a little different, a little dar-y and i'm so glad he did it. so thumbs up for Onew on that one. also, during another performance, Onew fell from the stage and staff had to help him up. it's just a little anecdote but well.
Jonghyun has a great voice but, to me, he's really too full of himself, don't like that. Minho and Taemin were fun to watch because they were so into their performances and into everything. also, other anecdote, at the end of the concert, when they sang sorry sorry all together, Changmin tricked Minho into emptying a bottle of water on Siwon. the thing is, Changmin was basically laughing his ass off but Minho was the one who got Siwon's revenge a little later. it was really fun and Minho was actually so cute being his usual hyung-whore self lol.
okay, snsd time now. first thing i have to say is how pretty yet skinny they all are. but really really pretty. who am i kidding? they're gorgeous. and they were really good too. the only bad thing was their timing because they often arrived after a very intense song with everyone cheering like crazy and when they started singing, some sat back and found it a little more boring as they were not really interacting with the public but just doing their choreo and singing. which was great. i liked my child, genie, hoot and gee so much. i'm glad i got to see hoot especially because it wasn't out yet when they performed at the smtown in seoul. and it was so great.
i think gee was actually their best performance because it's such a classic, everyone was singing and dancing with them and it was so much fun.
the real bad thing to me was actually Taeyeon and Jessica looking like they didn't want to be here during the whole concert. i can understand if they don't like paris or french people, i really can but it's a concert and they have to be professional. especially Taeyeon looked really out of it. during the ment, Jessica spoke english but said like, one phrase and that's it. maybe i shouldn't have been surprised? on the other hand, people were cheering so much for Sooyoung, Hyoyeon and Sunny and i kinda agree with them. Sunny and Hyoyeon have never been my favorites but here they were amazing. all 3 of them kept smiling all the time and having so much fun on stage and with everyone, it was good to see it. they really looked like they wanted to stay on stage forever or something. it was so cute. and they spoke french, like, as much as possible (i think they're the ones who spoke the most), like Bonsoir, je m'appelle [...], enchantée, ça va? stuff like that. they thanked us in french too. so cool lol.
also, Seohyun had a duet with Kyuhyun on way back into love and it was so cute. they were awkward with each other and Seohyun was really shy but so gorgeous. i loved that little song, it was pretty and cute.
i can't find the words to say how gorgeous Sooyoung and Jessica are. they have such a presence on stage (wanting to be here or not lol) it's amazing. and they're really sexy and classy. haha they're my 2 favorites so i'm biased sorry but yeah, Jessica became my favorite partly because of that, she knows how to get the attention and the spotlight and, i must say, it's a great thing. but my friend and i cheered a lot for Hyoyeon and Sunny because they were so cute, even though Hyoyeon messed a little the whole sorry sorry choreo at the end, she was like, doing something weird and then, a whole different move.
oh also, the girls danced so well during the dance parade, i love seeing that thing again and again because they're amazing. Sooyoung and Yoona especially stood out to me because they're really graceful, more than the other who are more on the fierce side with a lot of technique.
next were super junior and i have to say, i loved them. they really were the mood makers of the whole concert but it's a good thing because they're the best at it. they really knew how to make the public go crazy, like, for all of their songs. it's hard to explain but each time they were there, it was something. they did so much fanservice, between them, with the fans, everywhere and everyone was cheering so loud and going crazy dancing and singing. it was like a whole other world suddenly.
first, Heechul doing lady gaga and Shindong, Eeteuk and Eunhyuk for beyoncé, i hadn't seen that one coming and i couldn't help but laugh (and giggle yup) a lot at their performance, trying to do the usual sexy woman moves with their skirts not really cooperating. they were so dorky and plain crazy but it actually worked. i think everyone liked them, you just had to like them. and when Heechul came back with the 3 others for crazy love, it looked like he knew nothing of the choreo and that was the real funny part. he was out of it but still being such a diva. that guy is amazing.
their ment was just awesome. they tried speaking french a lot. Kyuhyun tried saying Voulez-vous boire un verre avec moi? (do you want to have a drink with me?) but he forgot the words mid phrase and had to look on his notes to remember what he was supposed to say. Eunhyuk did the same and it made everyone laugh. as for Eeteuk he asked or said i don't know Vous m'avez manqué but it wasn't correct, did you miss me is actually Je vous ai manqué? in french and not the opposite. but he looked so proud of his french, it was cute. he also asked Voulez-vous m'appeler? (do you want to call me?) a few times and then, took a fan's phone to take a picture with it.
Donghae and Siwon were really handsome and, of course, Siwon took off his shirt. it wasn't really a surprise but well, i couldn't say no to some eye candy. we kept screaming 'sexy-ah' lol. it was fun. oh, during no other, Donghae offered a rose to someone in the pit. so much fanservice. there was some between Siwon and Heechul too at some point which made everyone scream even louder.
and finally, dong bang shin ki arrived. like for every other smtown, they were hanging up with that same voice saying the same thing lol. but i think they stayed up there longer than they usually do and everyone was cheering so much, waiting for them to do something. Yunho was enjoying it way too much lol, he kept encouraging the screaming and, idk, he really looked so confident and full of charisma. my friend and i actually thought he looked almost arrogant but not in a bad way, just, yeah, really full of confidence.
they sang their medley first and really, honestly, everyone went totally crazy for mirotic doing the fanchants and everything. it was even crazier than with super junior. i guess we can say it's still a classic. everyone was dancing to Yunho's rap part and then screaming together with Changmin. i was honestly so happy for them. and so happy to see them. for those of you who already met them or saw them in reality, they're both so gorgeous and tall and everything.
their ment was the cutest thing ever when they tried speaking french. Yunho presented them in french and then, asked a few things like, Vous êtes [not sure of the word, i didn't hear anything there but people say it was 'chaud'] ce soir? c'est vrai? (are you -ready?- tonight? for real?) and then it was Changmin's turn and oh my god. he was the cutest thing ever, so shy and basically he looked scared of us. my friend was surprised during the song because he gained confidence but then, during the ment she told me 'look, his shy smile is back, he's actually still the same cute boy' and at that moment, honestly, i couldn't agree more. he hasn't changed at all, in the end, and out of performances. he said Bonsoir, then spoke korean then french again and it was so lame and so cute though. i'm not sure of what he said cause it was really lame, i only understood Je vous remercie and he kept talking but i really don't know what he said. i still cheered for him cause he tried.
also, i think it was during keep your head down, Changmin's clothes kept revealing his chest and he spend the whole performance trying to hide it lol.
oh and rising sun, they sang the whole song! and it was amazing, i can't even tell how much i loved it. even with just the 2 of them. they did great and it wasn't shocking at all. the sad thing is that it seems there were a lot of new k-pop fans in the public and a lot of them didn't know the song and just, sat during the whole thing. i was kinda disappointed at them for not even trying but oh well.
when everyone sang sorry sorry at the end, it actually looked like it was Yunho's show. he was right in the middle doing the choreo like a boss and having so much fun. Yunho looked like he was enjoying himself a lot. but, of course, he couldn't have fun without Changmin (who was in a corner with Kyuhyun) and Yunho came to get him but then started dancing on his own again and Changmin was like, laughing and wtf-ing at the same time. then Eunhyuk tried to get him to dance with Yunho but he ran away. and, as usual, Yunho was one of the last to leave the stage.
um i think that's it? i'm sorry if it's kinda messy and i might have forgotten some things, if you were there and remember them, don't hesitate and tell me :)
all i can say is, i hope they enjoyed the concert as much as i did because i did a lot. it was amazing, another great memory for me and i was really really really happy to see Homin (and all of them, in the end) on stage again.
