it's been a month and one day since i've updated...

Feb 20, 2005 12:01

let's preface this entry by saying: so many many things have happened, none of them very interesting.

i cram-studied for my econ midterm (did a practice midterm the night before, and two the day of my exam), then took the exam and left 10 minutes early. i finished and didn't want to have to think about econ anymore. ugh. i got a B+, way better than i thought i was going to do.
then i called my mom about my ultrasound for my liver and spleen.
amy: what did it say, mom?
mom: it said... you're getting better. but you shouldn't drink.
amy: oh, really? it said that? hm.
mom: and it said... no... "smooching."

hahahaha.

that friday i went to a TB6 show at some frat house that liz said looked like a dr's office (and i agreed)... sigma-something... it was very good and i saw state girls and tons of people from rochester! yay. we danced up a storm (i still have one weird blister on my toe to prove it) and i even fell down. i hurt my tailbone, and made walking difficult for the next day. ouch.
i drove home saturday night and actually went to the grocery store and made dinner with my sister. we made cookies (valentine's cookies... some giant ones that said "I LOVE U" for my sweetie). the dinner was the best i'd had in a long time- seasoned chicken, tortellinis with alfredo sauce, stir fry squash, zucchini, carrots, and onions... mmm! megan is an excellent cook. sheesh. she's perfect.

that sunday morning jason came over, and we chilled at my house for awhile. megan and dad went skiing. j and i went to birmingham with the intention of seeing a movie, but we ended up just eating lunch/dinner instead cuz he had to be back by a certain time.

thursday, my daddy came for a late lunch/dinner... and jason came also. we went to pancheros. it was a weird time (like mid-afternoon) so noone was there and we were all so hungry that we ate like barbarians. (if it had been a contest, dad got gold, i got silver, and jason got bronze. hah!) then we went to the starbucks that used to be something else, so the building is creepy and weird. dad was making me angry by tempting me with coffee, but it's ok, i'm not mad, he really did forget that i'm a caffeine addict like him and (unlike him) i gave it up for lent. shoot.
dad: i put cinnamon and chocolate power in this coffee. i tastes really good.
amy: oh really? i can smell it.
dad: (waving it under my nose) oh, yes. it's excellent. i should do that every time i get coffee. want a taste?

then dad left and jason and i watched the oc. next episode is going to be crazy. i know, i say that about every episode, but really... this is going to be intense. i dragged jason to a dance marathon meeting in south quad, and he said, "wow, this dorm is way nicer than yours." thanks! i know... that's why i want to live there next year more than anything else. the dm meeting was good, discussed making a LIP SYNCH DANCE with sahar for our team (it's tearin' up my heart... YES we're gonna rock) then jason and i drove around and looked for haagen daaz ice cream but they only had crappy flavors where we checked.
we watched THE NOTEBOOK... ahhhh such a good movie!!
got minimal sleep. shoot, we're awful at that.

the next morning we did breakfast at mr. greek's- yummy greek omelette! then starbucks, then to the Cube for bookmark. (that's where we meet up with a group of ppl- supposedly- and they drive us to an elementary school where we read to kids.) but rachel and i must have missed them or something, we couldn't find them and i ended up being a stalker and going to the online directory at the union and finding the girl's cell # and leaving a long message that was really creepy. ugh. why must i be so resourceful? and so guilty-feeling?
rachel: all we wanted to do was read to inner-city children...
*later*
rachel: i'm kind of scared... do you think they might be criminals?
amy: we're not reading to kids at a correctional facility.
rachel: like 4-year-old felons
amy: goodnight comb, goodnight mush....
rachel: goodnight cell, goodnight jail... goodnight guards, goodnight bail...

then i did homework and i wasn't feeling very well at all so i slept 12 hours, 11pm to 11am. saturday, the parents came around 2:30. i was doing homework and hadn't showered, so they chilled in the room while i got spiffed up. then we went out to dinner at our favorite ann arbor irish pub. my mother told me "the waiter is too old for you!" why does she always assume i have crushes on waiters? why? (i don't!)
we came back to the room and watched part of the notebook cuz my parents wanted to... got halfway through, then we had to leave to go to the show. we saw impact dance (with interludes by the friars and comco). like everything else dance-related, it made me sad that i am not really dancing this year. but more than anything, now i know i HAVE to dance next year. the show was really good, and i am definitely trying out for impact dance in april. definitely.

after the show i went home, got invited out by 2 ppl. i felt bad turning them down but i'm still sick and i know i wouldn't have had much fun at all and made myself even sicker. blah. so i went to bed at 12.
next thursday: possibly party at rob's neighbor's? i need to round up some girls who don't have classes on friday
friday: go home!!
saturday: great oaks invitational ice skating competition for megan, then later that night: state?
i have break till march 7.
then march 5: sadies. hahahahahaha.
i need something to wear. shopping, anyone?

Love.
