This place is insane. I've been here for days, and I still have no idea what's going here. If it isn't creatures out running through the street, it's madmen swarming the city from outside, ripping apart everything and...no. There's no use. It's over and done with, and I've got enough things to work through.
*How did we get here, why are we here, and what the hell happened to this place? All I have is a handful of rumors and hearsay from Elwood and the "network". Elwood mentioned a man named Smith; find him. Talk to him. See what he has to say. Find out more about these "scientists" people are talking about, and what they're capable of.
As hard as it is to believe, I hope he is right about this being another world. I don't even want to think about there being a place like this on Earth.
*Miles. He's shown no sign of appearing here, and thank God for that. This is no place for a child. Whatever brought me out of the elevator left him and Yogi alone, as far as i know. However, I can't be completely sure of that. I need to keep my eyes and ears open, just to be safe. Talk to Iris soon, see what she has to say. Ask about Miles and Gumshoe. Compare what information she has to my talk with von Karma.
*Manfred von Karma. I can't trust a thing he says, but I can't dismiss it, either. While I didn't want to admit it at the time, he has changed, in looks if not demeanor... not to mention the fact that he knows more than he should about what happened to the elevator. Even if he is lying about my death, something happened from the earthquake til now. Don't ignore what he has to say, but take info with a grain of salt until I can find a way to verify it. Compare it to what Iris has to say, and see if it matches up. Compare it to information from other citizens about what they remember before they arrived here. Keep on searching for information.
*Find out what other "guests" were doing before they were brought to Discedo. It might be a red herring or a wild goose chase, but it might lead to some clues.
As morbid as it sounds, I'll laugh if von Karma is right and this turns out to be an afterlife of sorts. The place already looks like hell, and you know what they say about where lawyers go after they die.
*Get a weapon besides the lead pipe, possibly some kind of gun and ammo. Learn how to use it. Don't get blindsided again if there's another attack.
*Get some more food and water. The last decent thing I had to eat was at the barbeque, and I'm starving.
*Find some clean clothes. I reek.
*Speaking of reeking, try and remember why I volunteered to clear rotting corpses out of the city streets - ah, yes, "community spirit". Try and make friends (or at least contacts), and try not to lose your non existent lunch. Also, talk more to Torn; he seems like he's taking charge of this place. Whether this is for better or for worse has yet to be seen. Keep an eye on plans for the wall, as well.
*See if I can get Gamma to help with cleanup duty. However, considering his own plans, this may not be possible. I might help with his "memorial" after I take care of cleanup duty and talking to Iris, but to be honest, I don't think I can bring myself to think of those Reavers as anything but monsters. Human or not, it doesn't change what they did.
I should talk to him more often, though. He's a strange, but interesting man. However, I can't shake the feeling that he's hiding something

I think that about covers it for now.

Thank God that's over with. I managed to fare...decently, but I can't say the same about everyone else. I know it may not mean much, but I offer my condolences to those were were less than fortunate.
I'll be working on cleanup duty soon, to help take care of the mess on Marshall street other areas of the city. I have no idea how long that will take, though. Out of curiosity, who else is working on this? I figure it would be good to know how many people are chipping in.
Also, Ms. Iris? There's still some questions I'd like to ask you - in person, if possible, but I understand if this is infeasible. If you could also pass this message along to Mr. Gumshoe, I'd appreciate it.
Mr. Smith, if you're reading this, there's some things I'd like to talk to you about as well.
