Disregarding all catch-up kinds of things I could be saying or asking here, I have a random question that I'm sure at least one of you will be able to answer (and I think I could even guess the person who'll be able to answer it the fastest). In which episode of Sports Night did Dana try, with supposed magical powers, to make Dan and Casey ( Read more... )

Are you asking because you plan on writing SN fic?

That's not on the front burner, no.

A bit oddly, though, I was just realizing yesterday that all the pairings that currently are foremost in my mind -- for potential writing or just musing -- feature one blond(e) and one brunet(te) character.

It's Rebecca - "There'll be an article in the Wall Street Journal." "And?" "Don't worry about it." "What are you, Agatha Christie now?!" (I paraphrase.) Here is a link to an episode summary. I don't have a screencap, at least, not on Tiny Laptop, but out_there has it, or used to have it. as an icon.

Was I the person you guessed?

And also: how are you? I haven't seen you round these parts for ages.

Thanks!

You are, indeed, the person I thought most likely to know the episodes well enough anymore to have the answer on the spot, as well as to be willing to take a couple minutes on my entry to share said answer. =)

I'm okay. I've been having sciatic trouble with my back and leg, and jobs have been rather shaky at my workplace, so, things could be better; I'm just glad they're not worse. A little bit ago I started trying to get back into being more active on LJ, but generally that means always being about two weeks behind on even looking at my Friends page, and when I do look at it, I'm just opening entries into tabs to read/reply later, which leads to windows with dozens of tabs open and a frozen -- or so slow, it might as well be frozen -- browser and no real progress. Bah. As for posting my own entries, well, it'd pretty much be this paragraph, repeatedly, except maybe, eventually, without the physical pain.

I'm sorry to hear about the sciatica and job worries - but I saw in your comment below that you're in a relationship, so hurrah for that!

It's lovely to see you on here, but I know how it is when there's nothing to post but what you had for breakfast and what sort of a day you had at work. (I didn't say it stopped me; luckily, my one life skill is Talking Rubbish at Length.)

Hi!

I just had to comment, first to say hi. Hi!

Second, to say that I hope your feeling better. Ow. and I hope the job stuff gets better soon.

And thirdly to say that the rest of that paragraph cracked me up, cause I could have easily written it. In fact I think that has been the gist of my last several posts (as evidenced by the fact that I am commenting now, a good week after you wrote it).

Lastly, it's nice to hear from you. I have missed you. I hope we get to hear more from you soon.

Imagine running into you here!

I was thinking about this show/fandom the other day, and, these pics made me realize how much I miss it, and these boys. Might be time for a renaissance!

It's always time for a renaissance! Or, if you happen to be trying to brainwash, um, introduce new people to the show, a naissance ... I suppose.

Hey you! I didn't realise we all three knew each other! Or that you were into SN.

A New York renaissance!

I think it's time for me to pull out the Season One SN DVDs. It's been too long.

Also? A post by simplelyric + SN = Happiness. Hope all is well with you. :)

I know what you mean! I tried to get my parents into the series several months ago, partly because they both are fans of The West Wing and liked Studio 60 and I thought they'd like SN, and partly just as an excuse for myself to re-watch it. After a few episodes, my mom seemed like she might have liked it at least a little, but my dad disliked it for reasons he has refused to elucidate. =( I'd thought at that point that I might continue with it on my own, but I have so many other new things to watch, I haven't got back to that or any of the many other things I want to re-watch yet, beyond lone episodes here or there.

Aw, thanks. =) I posted above in another comment the gist of what's happening with me, although I neglected to mention there one of the good parts, my ongoing relationship with forbiddenromanc. We've been together -- albeit, unfortunately, from a distance for the most part -- for almost 16 months. How are you?

Kiiim! This is Sheera lurking around on LJ avoiding my homework. I just had to comment on this entry a) because I adore and miss you and b) I just recently watched Sports Night and loved it to a ridiculous degree. DAN/CASEY DAN/CASEY DAN/CASEY. UGH. Yeah. Imagining slashy dialogue between them is keeping me up at night. Good times.

Anywho, I shall end this random comment by sending some random good vibes your way. :) *goooood viiiiiiiiiibes*
