This will probably be my last update before I leave, because I only have 2 more full days left to get ready. I’ll be heading to a city called Livingston with my family on Friday morning. It’s about halfway to Houston, and we’re staying there for the night so that we won’t feel like we have to rush. Then, on Saturday we’ll drive to another town near ( Read more... )

Yay, tablet! :D

I've never had a problem with my Graphire 2, which is dreadfully outdated now but it still works fine. xD If you want it for drawing, Intuos is the one to get. And size really doesn't matter that much, but it is easier to work with a bigger surface since you can get more detail work in. Mine is only 4 x 5 inches (I think? Maybe it's 3 x 4...either way, it's small) but it still works perfectly fine for me and really, anything bigger would just be annoying to store for me. xD

Buuuut...that aside...have fun on your trip! :D

Drawing will most likely be the only thing that I'll use mine for (I don't think I could figure any of the other stuff out, unless they have anything to do with making graphics... XD) so an Intuos sounds like the kind that I should get. I'll still find out more information about the Graphire 2, though, because I have a feeling that I have plenty of time left to make my decision!

Since I'll be using mine for artwork, I'd love to get one that's at least 6 x 8... I'll shoot for 6 x 11, though, because the price difference isn't too bad. The only thing that I told my mom was that they were in the hundreds in terms of cost, and she was like, "Okay, but I'm sure that it'll be worth it!" I love her, I really do. XD

Oh, and thank you! :D I will~

and his hair has a little… curl thing? XD
That comment wins this whole entry. Especially since I always tend to point that out when people talk about Superman. XD

And you might get a tablet?! Ugh, I hate you. >:0 Though in all seriousness you seem to draw more than me, so you totally deserve it. XP

Praying your trip goes well. ^^

Yeah, that created one of the inside jokes between my friend from England and I--his hair got on our nerves so much! XD You can join the club if you want, lol.

I'm hoping that I will, but it'll probably be a while. You may even end up getting one before me, who knows? XP But either way, you'll have to post some of your drawings sometime! ♥

Aww, and thanks Rindi. ^_^ I appreciate it~

That sounds like more fun every time you talk about it. :D I hope everything goes well, and you have a good time!

I never got into any of the superhero stuff, though I did see Spiderman 2 and thought it was pretty cool. :3

Your Xanga looks nice and neat, something I tried for originally with my LJ, but ended up falling back on the sugary sweet pink. XD

I have a tablet, in fact I think it's the same one that miss Erica has. Why do I have a tablet? I have no idea. I don't have the patience, steadiness of hand, foresight, ability, or creativity to draw. Why do I have one? But its very fun to play with. She could tell you a lot better about tablet type, but as for Photoshop, which version are you looking at? Even the smaller tablets come with free copies of Photoshop Elements, which is a kind of stripped-down version. At the sizes you're talking about, maybe they'd come with full Photoshop, but I'm not sure. It is a $800 program, afterall. One other thing to consider if you do get full Photoshop is that CS3, the next version, should ( ... )

Thank you so much, Abby! X3 I'm hoping that everything will--the only thing that's come up that might slow us down is that there's a possibility of some snow falling here sometime soon, so the roads might be harder to drive on. We're going to take our time getting there, though, so I'm not worried ( ... )

I'm not sure if Adobe sells the older versions or not. You could get it off of eBay I suppose, but you have to be careful with software. Anything you buy off of eBay could be nothing more than a burned disc with a pirated copy. If you can find older versions though, settle for no less than 7. A lot of the brushes are created for 7+, so you'd have problems if you use 6. I think Elements should do most of what you want, though. I guess you'll have to look into it. o.o; And again, tablets come with a lot of free software. The one I bought came with Corel, PS Elements, and a few other programs.

Okay, I'll make sure to keep that in mind. ^_^ What I'll most likely do is go ahead and buy my tablet first, and check out everything that Elements has to offer, so then I can decide whether or not it'll be enough. If it isn't exactly what I'm looking for, then I'll see if I can find 7~

I wonder if stores that sell office and computer supplies would have it or not? Hmm... *goes off to investigate*

OMG, have fun! :D You always get to go on sooooo many awesome trips. *jealous* ;_;

And hey! Don't punch me just because I broke the fan and pretty much overheated my old laptop to the point where I needed to get a new one. XD;

Aww, thank you, Ashley! I wish that everyone could come... it would definitely make it more fun. ;_;

Haha, that sounds exactly like something that I would end up doing. XD I'm still actually happy that you got one, though! <3

Have fun on your trip! x)

I love Superman! Though I've never seen the movie... Well, I love Smallville. :x I think it's understandable though, how people don't recognize Clark as Superman. *pulls out comic book history* Clark existed before Superman, and I think only because Clark decided to use his powers to fight crime, only then did he adopt the 'mild-mannered' persona for Clark, who is often compared to wallpaper. That happened around the same time he went to the Daily Planet to work. And since everyone saw Clark first, then they saw this overly confident, indestructable, immune to pain, with awesome powers to boot, dude.... no sane person would make the connection between Clark and Superman.(BTW, it was Lois Lane who gave the name Superman to the new hero) And another factor is that Superman doesn't wear a mask... making people think that he has nothing to hide. Reverse Psychology is lovely sometimes ( ... )

Aww, thank you! X3

The movie is great--I'd compare it more to both of the Spiderman movies than any others about superheroes, so I'm sure you'd enjoy it. (I agree that Smallville is good, too. <3) There's also nothing that's really suggestive in it, either, so I had no problem watching it with my little brother. He loved it!

Wow, I had no idea that you knew so much about these kinds of things. XD How cool... I agree with everything that you said, so it makes more sense to me now. I just can't help but giggle at how dense some of the characters in these kinds of movies can be, though, even when sooo many hints have been dropped, lol. My brother and I joke about this sort of stuff way too much, I guess. o_o;

Eeew, Myspace. Some of my friends wanted me to join, but I hate going to that site. As for Photoshop, I asked my mom about downloading the free trial, and she said that it'd be fine. ^_^ I'll just have to wait until I get back from my trip, or else I'll end up wasting over a week's worth of time! I'll also check eBay (carefully) ( ... )
