So, I've got some news!

I checked my e-mail earlier to find a new message from Yuki, my pen-pal in Japan, and apparently...

SHE'S COMING TO VISIT ME ON MARCH 15th! XD OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!

I know that she's been telling me for a long time that she'll be saving up some extra money to visit, but... wow. It's so weird now that I know the actual date! She'll be staying until ( Read more... )

Kayleigh! That's so cool! :D I'm so jealous of you meeting all of your penpals like this!

I can understand your anxiety about speaking to her. I know just a little bit of Japanese, and I'd be so afraid of embarrassing myself or misusing a word! Yuki can write fluently in English? If so, then you could just pass each other notes, like you said. That'd be kinda cool. XD; I'm sure you'll have plenty to do, so don't worry. Even if it's pretty much impossible not to worry. :x

Those Harvest Moon drawings are adorable. :D I hope yours get accepted! You did a great job drawing them, particularly Abby. :x You got my hair very close, and it'd look just like that if it was pink. XD;

Thanks, Abby! I've been very fortunate to have such good pen-pals; I can't believe that I haven't bored any of them to death after all these years! XD; But really, I wish that I had the money to visit all of my friends like this... it'd be so nice.

I know, I'm so worried that I'll pronounce some of the words wrong or something, lol. It'll be interesting, that's for sure! She really is good at writing, though, so that'll save the day--as long as we can communicate in some sort of way, everything will be fine. XD

Aww, and thank you! <3 I'm so glad that you like yours. I knew that she'd have to have pink hair, but I wasn't sure about everything else so it turned out kinda random. :x

Dude, your drawings are so freaking cute. You really need to do a doujinshi or something (and slightly off topic--eep! The me chick has pink hair! W00t! XD).

As for the penpal thing...like woah. It's amazing enough you get people from England and go on cruises, but now you have a friend from Japan coming over there?! Sheesh girl, sounds like lives of the rich and famous. XD Either way though, I'll be praying you don't have too much trouble with the language barrier thing (not to mention she gets over there fine). And even if you do have troubles, you can always use abigeiru's advice and pass notes. Either that or get one of those wipe boards and put it around your neck all day. XD

Haha, thank you! I'd love to try drawing a doujinshi sometime, if only I could figure out how to draw the frames straight... I always mess up on those. XD; I also seem to run out of ideas quickly. (Yes, yay for pink hair! <3)

I know, I'm still stunned about this--I just wish that I had the money to visit them, as well as my other friends, in return. XD And thanks for the prayers; I'll definitely need them, lol. I'm hoping that I won't come off as a ditz if I end up getting confused all of the time. :B

That idea about the wipe boards is awesome. XD It'd save lots of paper--and trees!

Sounds like you're gonna have fun! :D I wish I could come visit you XD.

Is Harvest Moon worth getting? What kind of game is it? I'm scoping out stuff to get for my new DS. XD

I know! If I ever travel to Australia then I'll make sure to visit you, as well. XD

As for Harvest Moon--it's one of my favorite series! I always seem to become completely obsessed with each new game that comes out. I can't promise you that you'll like any of them; it really depends on your personal taste. They're not action-packed RPGs, but they're very cute and extremely addicting. I'd also say that they're unique because of the way that you're able to get married and everything... it's so fun. XD

I'd definitely recommend checking one of the DS games out, although I'd wait until the one called "The Island I Grew Up On" is released, because a lot of people seem to be complaining that the other one that's out is full of glitches. That might make it a waste of money...

I might have to check out "The Island I Grew Up On" then! :D I love my new DS, but there's a list of games a mile long I want to get now, and I can't afford any. ;_; My own fault for not wanting to use a flash card. XD

Yeah, I definitely think that it would be a good idea! :D The HM games really are worth the money, even if it takes you a while to save up the money, lol.
