Test

Feb 01, 2007 20:00

Okay, I've been working all day on (another... ha) new layout for my site. I made this banner that I really like, and of course, wanted to use. To test it out, I made an extra LJ account to use, and I'd like a couple of people to check it and make sure that everything looks okay to them. I wanted to do this before I actually changed the layout on ( Read more... )

It looks just fine to me, and I love the style, it's simple and effective!

I think you should make a sample post though, just to make sure that it's positioned correctly.

Thank you! :D That's a relief to hear. I'm still trying to decide if I really like the current background color, though...

As for the sample post, I went ahead and made one!

OK, it's looking great to me! :)

I quite like the background colour. :) This reminds me that I need to redo my journal. I think I'm going to do it in grey and orange. XD

That's great, thanks! I really like to use the color grey for my layouts, especially when I'm using other light colors such as pink... XD It's less intense, I guess?

I can't wait to see how your journal turns out. :D

It looks great, Kayleigh. :D I'm jealous! If I had the time, I'd probably redo a lot of mine, and I had been thinking of something like that. You should go for it!

As for resolution differences, it's easy enough to test on your own, for in the future. Maximizing it should give you an indication of how it'll look at large resolutions, and resizing the window can help you get the feel for smaller ones. Mac users tend to leave their windows unmaximized--as I do--and it looks just fine to me. :x

(Love the icon, too!)

Thank you! X3 It took me forever to decide what kind of theme to use... but then I found that picture of all of the Full Moon characters, and just had to edit it. Next I'll probably go for a KH layout, though, once the new games come out. :D

Okay, I'll keep that in mind for the future! Thanks for all of your advice. Hopefully I won't confuse myself too much. XD And yes, I just loved that icon when I first saw it. She's my favorite character in the series~

It looks so great with all of your entries! Now I'm really jealous (again) What's the font, font size, and line height? (If you know) The font on my Livejournal is what bugs me most, so I really want to fix it to look almost exactly like that. I guess it just goes to show that you're really an artist, in any medium, whereas I struggle with anything graphical. :x

Frostweaver and I would like to know if you know what a "keener" is without searching for it. Apparently, I'm an especially sheltered homeschooled kid. :x

Aww, that's not true! XD It was really simple in the Journal Display options. I picked Tahoma for the font, and "Tiny" for the size. (You could only choose from tiny, small, medium, large, and huge.... so I couldn't give you the exact numeral font size. ;_; I'm guessing it would be around 8 or so?)

And... I've heard it before, but I had no idea what it meant before I looked it up. XD; I guess that makes two of us! *sigh* I guess he can add that to his list of reasons to make fun of me, lol.

I wonder if Lily knew what it meant. :x

Looks perfectly fine to me! ^^ Very simple, yet cute too.

Also if you want that stupid login bar to be removed from the top of your page, go to your settings. It made my current layout look kind icky too, so I took it off. XD

Thank you! =3 I decided that with that layout style, simplicity looked best.

As for the login bar--aww, it still shows up? I had changed those options in my settings earlier, but maybe I did something wrong. ._.; I did un-check both of those options, though, because it gets on my nerves a lot. Are you sure you don't have the "Always see the navigation strip when you view any journal or community" option still checked on your settings? That may be why it shows up for you, but not me. XD *shrugs*

Oh no, now it's not there. Back when you were still working on things though it was. XD

Okay, that's good to hear. XD

I just realized that I said "options" way too many times in my last reply, lol. XD
