Not everyone is fond of a sudden change. Some might see it as a new adventure. Others might even feel threatened. But most of us still prefer the familiar, our ordinary everyday lives even though it can be dull.

You're absolutely right! You have to control your life rather than be controlled by it. But I do disagree with you about one thing. Not many people your age have so firm a plan of where you are going or how you are going to get there, nor have they advanced nearly so far toward their goals as you have. I think you are a phenominal student and a very high achiever and you have already done a great deal to be proud of. It's just that it is so "second nature" to you that it just doesn't seem like a big deal to you. I know I'm not alone when I say I'm very proud of you and I still look for a lot more great things from you as well.
