I haven't posted for a long time. Truth be told, I just didn't know what to say. I've been doing some adjusting in my life... adjusting that was long overdue.

I've come to a better place in my life. For the first time in a very long time, I am happy. I'm laughing again. I'm smiling more. And I've been singing in the shower. Life is good

It's so great to hear form you! Sometimes disappearing is exactly what we need to do. I'm so happy you're happy again. It reminds me of how I felt after coming off my hiatus awhile ago.

What you're going through with Jon, in terms of being different people and needing to work things out, sounds VERY similar to what my bf and I are going through at the moment. I hope you have a wonderful time in the UK! I'm jealous. :D

Hi there! It's great to hear from you, too. I remember how amazing it was to see you posting again after your hiatus. I always love reading your posts!

I think that differences are going to come up in every relationship. People are people, after all, and one of the wonderful things about people is that every single one is unique. I think a part of me kept expecting everything to mesh perfectly--that 'true love' would require no effort to maintain. But I'm realizing that anything worthwhile is going to take a bit (if not a lot) of effort, and that things that come easily usually aren't as appreciated as the things that come at a cost. Maybe it's not the most romantic opinion, but it's helped me grow to love the life I'm in.

Anyways, sorry for rambling! I hope that everything works out with you and your boyfriend. I'll be rooting for you guys!
