Why the fuck does the current cover for Squire focus on the model's chest? For that matter, why is the cover for First Test the only one in the quartet to show the whole face? Page is focused on her sword...which is crossed over her chest. I don't even know what Lady Knight is supposed to be focused on but cropping the picture just above the model'

(I have hated every Tamora Pierce cover redesign I've ever seen. The ones I had when I was first getting into her were these really awesome actual pictures, sort of classical-like style, bright colors, plot-relevant details, not very stylized, really right for the tone of the books and the message and all. Basically things that looked like actual illustrations being put on the cover. I miss those.)

And the Aly ones bug me a lot, both because of the half-face-model thing and because come on, couldn't we could have done something dramatic with Sarai and Dove as well as Aly? But no, white girl on the cover and go.
But I love the Beka covers! And I... haven't actually scene any more recent Circle ones that I can think of, at all. Huh.
